Philosophy of the National Teachers’ Day 2025 Logo
The theme “Nurturing the Universe with Love” reflects the view that education is an effort to preserve balance between knowledge, faith, humanity, and the universe.
According to Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, teachers play a role as guardians of harmony between knowledge and wisdom.
“Teachers do not merely fill minds, but awaken awareness and straighten ways of thinking. In Islamic teaching, teachers are warasatul anbiya — heirs of the prophets,” he said during the HGN 2025 Kick Off in Cirebon.

Circle Shape

Symbolizes the light of knowledge and divine guidance.
Teachers are likened to the light of life that illuminates their students’ paths. Yellow represents optimism, wisdom, and spiritual enlightenment.
Minister’s Perspective
According to Nasaruddin Umar, the teaching profession carries a noble spiritual mission.
“Knowledge without faith loses its moral compass. Teachers guide the younger generation to have conscience in thinking and acting,” he emphasized.
Meaning of the Theme “Nurturing the Universe with Love”
The theme invites teachers to educate not only the intellect but also to nurture compassion for others and the universe. Education is viewed as a process of awakening humans to become faithful, knowledgeable, and ethical beings.
Director General of Islamic Education Amien Suyitno added that the value of love in the HGN theme is love that humanizes — not romantic love.
Love that encourages empathy, peace, and the spirit of preserving life.

The 2025 HGN celebration under Kemenag carries an inclusive spirit through the tagline “Teachers Day for All” — Teachers’ Day for Everyone.
